The KCI Web site has advanced accessibility features, which make it easy to use for most visitors, including those using screen readers and screen magnifying software.

The KCI Web site makes a concerted effort to meet Priority Level 2 of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)   Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) .

The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) provides Web Content Accessibility guidelines to assist Web developers in creating accessible Web pages.

How do I find my way around the site (including information for screen readers)?

To help find your way around this Web site you will find a main menu at the top of each page. By using this menu you can go to various sections of the site.

When you select a main menu option, a left navigation sub-menu will open underneath the main menu.

If you are using a screen reader, the menu options appear as a list and the left navigation sub-menus appear as a nested, unordered list.

In order to help you navigate around the site easily when using a screen reader, please note the following points.

This site uses CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) to create a page header that includes the main menu with a three-column layout underneath on all pages except the homepage and the search results pages. Some pages on the site may use tables for data display.

How do I change the text size in Internet Explorer?

You can quickly increase or decrease the size of text using the following keyboard shortcut commands:

You can adjust the text size by editing your preferences to be reflected on all sites you visit. Please follow these steps:

  1.  Select Tools (Alt+V)/Internet Options (O) on the main toolbar, then select General and choose the Accessibility (Alt+E) button.
  2.  Tick the box: Ignore font sizes specified in Web pages (Alt+Z).
  3.  Choose OK (Press Enter twice).

How do I change the text size in Firefox?

  1. Select Tools (Alt+T)/Options (O) on the main toolbar then select the Content tab.
  2.  In the Fonts & Colours section select the font style and font size preferences.
  3.  Click the Advanced button deselect the “Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selection above” check box.
  4.  Click OK (Press Enter).

How do I update my Web browser?

Most Web pages are best viewed by using recent versions of Internet browsers. If you are using an older browser version, you may have trouble viewing certain Web pages.

You can find out which version of your browser you are using by choosing 'Help' at the top of your browser and 'About (your browser)'.
