Our team of Clinical Support Educators was first introduced as in integral part of KCI Medical Australia in 2005. In this time the team has grown extensively; another example of how KCI supports healthcare professionals. Our “CSE’s” are wound experts through experience and extensive training. They are available to assist you in product and clinical support.

Simone Roe
|
Simone joined KCI Medical in March 2006, while living in Newcastle and in late 2006 moved to Brisbane to undertake her current role in Queensland. Simone trained at the University of South Australia and has a surgical nursing history, with a strong emphasis on wound care right throughout her career. During time in Darwin, Simone worked at Royal Darwin Hospital where she held the position of Clinical Nurse Educator. She was involved with the reception and care of the Bali bombing patients in 2002. |
Carlee Hutchings

Carlee joined KCI Medical in 2005 after finding a passion for sharing her knowledge in V.A.C.Therapy with her colleagues. She has an extensive background in infectious diseases through specializing at the Alfred Hospital. Naturally she has a keen interest in the treatment of all types of infected wounds, and is currently managing the clinical progress of V.A.C. Therapy treated clients in the community under KCI Medical's Complex Wound Management Service. |
Julie Hansen

Julie joined KCI Medical in July 2006, where her existing interest and experience in the area of wound care enabled her to share knowledge with colleagues on a daily basis. Throughout her nursing career Julie has had particular focus on pediatrics, general surgery, occupational health, overseas medicine, general practice wound clinic and plastic surgery. Julie has recently commenced a diploma in the area of Tertiary and Adult Education to expand her education teaching skills. |
Shelley McIvor

Shelley recently commenced at KCI Medical as a CSE in Victoria. For the past 14 years she has worked as a Wound CNC in both Hospital in the Home and in the acute sector of private health. Shelley is also a qualified Diabetes Nurse Educator, a post graduate she pursued to compliment her primary passion of wound care. Shelley's most recent position was in a nurse initiated private wound clinic which has been providing a care to a diverse array of wounds both chronic and acute. |
Catherine Griffin

Catherine joined KCI in February 2011. She has 11 years of nursing experience which includes oncology/hematology and the critical care setting with a primary focus in Coronary Care and ICU. She has completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Critical Care Nursing studies. Catherine has a keen interest in wound management, patient and nursing education. Catherine has a very strong focus on holistic care for the patient, their family and carers to ensure long term, happy and healthy outcomes. |
Samantha Staite

Sam recently commenced her role at KCI as a CSE for the Gold Coast territory in Queensland. Sam has a background in Cardiac Nursing/Cardiac Theatre which was strengthened in her employment at both Greenslopes Private Hospital and the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. Her passion for education soon moved her into a Blue Care position, educating community nurses on wound care/medication management and quality improvements. Sam’s most recent position was providing support to surgeons and nursing staff for a Johnson and Johnson medical device franchise in the UK. |
